A national or international internship is firmly anchored in the curriculum during the semester break. Starting in the summer semester, Bachelor students complete an internship between the 5th and 6th semesters. If the programme starts in the winter semester, the internship takes place between the 4th and 5th semesters. Our Career Services department will help you find a suitable company.
The departure into a digitized world has long since begun and is having an impact on all companies and industries. There is a growing demand in companies for managers who understand the opportunities and consequences of digitization and can successfully transfer them into new processes, products or services. With the specialisation “Digital Management” in the Bachelor programme “General Management”, you will receive the technical and methodical training to make companies more competitive with the help of digital technologies and strategies. In addition to an introduction to the development of digital business models, you will learn how to introduce and accompany changes within the company using change management principles and discover which IT technologies you can use to increase efficiency.
The bachelor specialisation “Digital Management” takes a holistic look at digital change in companies. The course contents on the characteristics and potential of new technologies create the technical basis on which graduates can make well-founded decisions on questions of company-internal digitization processes. How is a digital vision developed and through which measures is it realized? How can the implementation of digital strategies be controlled? And which technologies and measures sustainably increase competitiveness?
In order to make a good start into the world of work after completing their studies, students should acquire practical knowledge in various companies in advance. The bachelor specialisation “Digital Management” includes a business project in the second semester as well as an eight-week internship between the second and third semester, in which you will gain important practical experience. Guest lectures and company lectures on the CBS Campus will give you further insights into professional fields for digital managers.
Whether employed in internationally oriented companies or in management consulting – the skills and knowledge acquired in the Bachelor specialisation qualify you for a career entry in various industries as well as for a master’s degree. The CBS International Business School regularly organizes free networking and career events, which provide orientation on career opportunities in small and medium-sized companies as well as large corporations.
In the General Management degree course you do not only choose one specialisation – you choose two. This way you are able to combine different areas of competence in order to define your very own portfolio.
