Would you like to gain practical experience and improve your language and communication skills at the same time? Then an internship abroad is just the right thing for you! Take advantage of the opportunity to gain practical experience during your studies and expand your horizons.
An internship abroad is a temporary assignment in a company outside of Germany and the perfect opportunity to gain practical knowledge and international experience at the same time. If you want to work in an international company after graduation, an internship abroad is very valuable experience for your CV.
An internship abroad helps you to improve your foreign language skills and strengthens your intercultural and social competences. In addition, you can test and further develop your professional knowledge and skills in a concrete work environment. Gaining practical experience is very important to many companies nowadays, and international experience can be a great advantage in your further education or later career.
In addition to classic job portals, you can also use the job portal in our CBS Career Center to search for an internship abroad. If you would like to do your internship abroad before or after your semester abroad, you should also take a look at the job portal of the host university. The CBS Career Service will be happy to help you with your application documents.
The search for an internship abroad takes time and requires a lot of forward planning and organisation. The application process often takes longer because you are not on-site and, depending on the country, you have to apply for a work visa in advance. If you have any questions, the International Office and the Career Service will be happy to help you.
For internships abroad within the EU, you can apply for an Erasmus+ scholarship directly at CBS.
Europe isn`t far enough for you? Then you have the chance to apply for a PROMOS scholarship before starting an internship abroad outside the EU. You can find information about other funding programmes at the CBS Career Service.
