Confidence and skepticism – the digital change meets with a mixed echo among German entrepreneurs and founders. It is clear that companies today already have to initiate and further develop digital change processes. For this task, managers with a digital mindset are required who can contribute their specialist knowledge in business administration, process management and IT know-how in the best possible way. The specialization “Digital Transformation” in the Master programme “General Management” provides you with the competences and specialist knowledge to drive digital change processes in companies. You will learn how to develop digital strategies and business models, how to introduce changes through models of innovation and change management and how and which IT technologies you can use efficiently.
From basic technological knowledge to specialist business knowledge – in the master specialization “Digital Transformation” aspects of digital change in companies are examined from different perspectives. What makes an institution a digital organization? How are strategies for digital business models developed and implemented? And how can digital marketing increase corporate profits?
At the Cologne Business School, practical phases are planned for each course of study. In the Master specialization “Digital Transformation” students also complete a compulsory internship between the second and third semester and gain an insight into the future world of work. This knowledge is deepened in the course of the Business Project in the second semester and the simulation game “Business Simulation Game” in the third semester as well as through guest lectures and company lectures at the CBS Campus.
Digital transformation managers are predestined for work in national and international companies or as freelancers. The master’s degree also qualifies you for a doctorate. As an orientation for your career entry, you can regularly take part in network and career events on campus, to which we invite high-ranking guest speakers and industry representatives from business.
We recommend that you set up a personal study consultation or visit our information evenings, study information days as well as an individual trial lecture.
