Private universities are usually associated with study fees. So the question is: How do you finance your studies? There are various financing programmes at CBS International Business School which you can fall back on and we would like to present one of them today: The CBS scholarship.
CBS International Business School is an officially recognised, private business school with three campuses in Cologne, Mainz and Potsdam. From Bachelor to MBA, courses of study are offered in both German and English. But why should you study at CBS? It is quite simple. CBS is offering a very practical orientation and approach in all of their management programmes, it is part of a broad international network of universities and provides its students the personal support they need during their studies. Seven more reasons are collected here.
CBS offers different kinds of scholarship programmes such as the Best Performer Scholarship and Social Engagement Scholarship, the TSC Scholarship or the EU Scholarship for students. Applications are open to prospective students who either have good grades, are socially committed or are active in sports. The EU Scholarship is especially intended for prospective students from other EU countries. Apart from CBS there are lots of other scholarship programmes that you can check in order to maximise your chances of getting one.
All scholarships cover 25% of the study fees throughout your studies. Furthermore, you’ll get a scholarship certificate that’ll show future employers your strength of purpose as well as your aiming to fulfill your dreams. As a scholarship holder you’ll get the opportunity to represent CBS during various events or publish articles on our social media channels.
Now we would like to present to you some students who already did what you’re still dreaming of:
Caroline is 19 years old and the new Social Engagement Scholar. She started studying International Tourism Management at the CBS on Campus Mainz this year. For more than 10 years Caroline has been involved in a youth group and has even been leading her own group of children aged 6-10 years for almost 5 years. Her social commitment with children and young people convinced the selection committee and she succeeded in getting the scholarship. In the next 3 years Caroline is looking forward to make new experiences and to collect many great memories
She is 22 years old, the new CBS Best Performer Scholar, and is currently studying International Management part-time at our university. Lisa's application for the scholarship was a spontaneous decision: With very good grades in her vocational diploma and in her completed training at Boehringer Ingelheim, she applied for the scholarship and was able to convince the selection committee. Her advice to prospective students who are interested in a scholarship at the CBS: Be open and simply try your luck!
Fun fact: Lots of scholarships aren’t awarded, because no one applies. Be smart and check out your options to get one of the CBS scholarships. The application deadline for the summer semester (Only Campus Cologne) is the 13th of November 2020 and the deadline for the winter semester 2021 (All campuses) is the 12th of June 2021. Required documents are a tabular CV, a letter of motivation, a certified copy of your diploma and for the Social Engagement Scholarship: proof of your social engagement. The application for the study place is decisive for that. More information about the TSC sport scholarship can be found on the CBS website. If you would like to apply for the scholarship, you can do at the CBS website after applying for a study programme.
