"Creating tomorrow" - this is the slogan under which the new brand "CBS International Business School" presents itself from today at its locations in Cologne and Mainz. It thus replaces the individual brands Cologne Business School (CBS) and European Management School (EMS) which will continue to be part of the CBS Cologne Business School GmbH. With the redesign of the new university brand, the campuses would like to convey their self-image as a joint university group and business school according to the international model in a more visual way. The central elements of the new logo are the inverted "B" in the acronym "CBS" as well as the additions "Campus Köln" and "Campus Mainz", whereby the design creates a visual reference to the group's roots and its locations.
"We see ourselves as an international university with its roots on the Rhine, which we communicate even more clearly with our new university name: The abbreviation "CBS" refers to our origin, the title "International Business School" to our claim to teach management according to the Anglo-Saxon model," says Prof. Dr. Christoph Willers, Managing Director of the CBS International Business School.Self-conception of the new university brand: "Creating tomorrow"
In addition to the revision of the corporate design, the study profile of the university group has also been sharpened: With the key topics "Sustainability" and "Digitisation", the CBS International Business School continues the work of its predecessors, who have successfully established central aspects of sustainable management in all areas of teaching and research over the past ten years.
"As one of the pioneers in the field of bachelor's degrees in Germany, we have shaped today's university market and as such we would like to actively shape tomorrow. We are now expressing this self-image in our slogan: Creating tomorrow," says Prof. Dr. habil. Elisabeth Fröhlich, President of the CBS International Business School.
The merger of the two brands means that the study portfolio, which mainly comprises English-language bachelor's, master's and MBA programmes in economic sciences in full-time, part-time or extra-occupational courses, will be continued at both locations.
