Spending a semester abroad has many advantages: you experience new cultures, strengthen your foreign language skills, gain a career advantage, make new friends, achieve greater independence and gather valuable memories. All CBS bachelor's and master's programmes offer the possibility to spend a semester abroad at one of more than 160 international partner universities. For English-language and dual bachelor programmes, a semester abroad is mandatory. However, the German-language bachelor programmes “Beriebswirtschaft & Management” and “Wirtschaftspsychologie” as well as all master programmes also provide students the opportunity to spend one semester at a partner university. Find out more about our students’ study abroad experiences here or at #cbswanderlust on Instagram.
„I did not only improve my foreign language skills during my semester in Japan, I also gained first hand intercultural experiences, made new friends from all over the world and, what’s most important, collected unforgettable memories.“
„During my semester at Bond University in Australia I gained more experiences than I can count.“
Los Angeles, Tokyo, Istanbul, Lima, Madrid, or Seoul? With such a great variety of partner universities, it is difficult to choose one’s favorite. However, if you want to study abroad the CBS International Office supports you throughout the whole planning process. We help you to find the right partner university, arrange your class schedule, and support you in preparing everything for your semester abroad.
Spending a semester abroad not only offers you the opportunity to study in another country, but also an unforgettable intercultural experience. You will immerse yourself in at least one new culture of which you may have initially thought you were already familiar. For example, because you have spent your holidays there or because, as a neighbouring country to Germany, it can't be that much different from your own. Allow yourself to be proven otherwise and broaden your horizon!
The team at the CBS International Office is happy to assist you with all questions around studying abroad at CBS and planning your stay in Germany. Likewise, as a CBS degree student, we will of course support your plans to study abroad at our international partner universities, or make plans for further international experiences, and guide you through the application process and planning of your stay abroad!
