Business Simulation Game3 ECTS ? !

In a business simulation game participants have to manage their own virtual company which operates in the same market as other participant-operated competitors. This involves making typical management decisions in realistic environments. Beside the deepening and active examination of subject-specific knowledge the simulation games also include the team environment, where interaction, communication and prioritization are of paramount importance. Participants learn how to manage risk and uncertainty while time is limited and information constrained. Group-reflections help to take over different perspectives and to discuss pros and cons of content- as well as behavior-related actions.

During your 4th semester you are working on your Master thesis. You have 19 weeks to complete your thesis and the subject is freely selectable. A supervisor from CBS will support you and you can write the thesis in collaboration with a company as well. Or you can write your thesis in connection with a stay abroad.

Internship or Study Abroad10 ECTS ? !

You can choose between an internship (lasting at least seven weeks) or a semester abroad at one of our partner universities.

Internationale betriebswirtschaftliche Ausbildung an der Schnittstelle zur IT


Bereits im ersten Semester werden spezifische Grundlagen zum Thema Innovation Management vermittelt. In welcher Form sich Business Modelle im Digitalen Zeitalter verändern, und wie eine digitale Geschäftsstrategie aufgebaut werden kann erlernst Du zudem im Master Digital Transformation Management bereits im ersten Halbjahr.

Das zweite Semester gibt Dir einen Einblick in die Erfolgsfaktoren mit Fächern wie Corporate Social Responsibility und Sustainable Supply Chain Management.

Investoren, Partner und Geschäftsführer zu überzeugen eignest Du Dir im Innovation Lab- Business Plan Writing and Pitching im dritten Semester an und optimierst Dein Praxisanwendung im Capstone Simulation Game. Im Rahmen dieses digitalen Planspiels triffst Du mit Deinem Team die Geschäftsentscheidungen und wendest Deine Business Skills praktisch an.

Vom dritten bis zum sechsten Semester erwirbst Du das Fachwissen über finanzwirtschaftliche Zusammenhänge und Prozesse. Innerhalb des Lehrplans werden Themenschwerpunkte, wie die Modelle der Kapitalmarkttheorie, die Vorstellung der Finanzinstrumente sowie der Zusammenhang zwischen Risiko und Ertrag von Geldanlagen, gesetzt.


Das vierte Semester: Raum für Eigeninitiative

Im vierten Semester arbeitest Du an Deiner Master Thesis. Du kannst auswählen, ob Du die Master Thesis in Zusammenarbeit mit einem Unternehmen im Praktikum oder in einem Auslandssemester an einer unserer Partnerhochschulen schreibst.


Hoher Praxisbezug innerhalb des Digital Transformation Masters


Theorie trifft Praxis: Um frühzeitig Arbeitserfahrungen als Digital Transformation Manager zu sammeln, gibt es die Möglichkeit eines Praxissemesters während der Master Thesis. Ob in der Marketing-Abteilung eines Start-Ups oder im Personalmanagement eines großen Konzerns – mit der Spezialisierung kannst Du in verschiedenen Tätigkeitsfeldern Praxiskenntnisse sammeln.


Um schon im Studium bestmöglich auf den Berufseinstieg vorzubereiten, rückt die CBS Dich, den Studierenden in den Mittelpunkt. So lernst Du in Praxisprojekten und experimentellen Lernformaten, wie den Simulation Games, Dein eigenes Gespür für Management-Entscheidungen auszubilden. Du erfährst also bereits im Studium, worauf es in der Praxis ankommt und überzeugst zukünftige Arbeitgeber durch Deine Erfahrung.


Durch verschiedene Networking- und Recruiting Events lernst Du während des Studiums immer wieder namhafte Unternehmen kennen. Mit dieser Unterstützung kannst Du Dich ganz auf Dein persönliches Karriereziel fokussieren. Dein Masterabschluss in Digital Transformation Management verhilft Dir so zum mühelosen Ein- und Aufstieg in der Wirtschaft.
