High-calibre, international, interdisciplinary symposia have been an integral part of research activities at CBS since 2011. Current topics are discussed with experts from the worlds of science, business and politics. The information is published and made available to the general public.

Sustainability is a key element of the CBS mission statement and this is also reflected in the topics selected. A symposium on sustainable business and Corporate Social Responsibility was held in 2011. The first symposium to focus on sustainability initiatives for air travel was held in October 2013. Teaching, innovation and research are central to the symposia. These elements are used to link new findings from research and industry to teaching and to expand and strengthen the networks established between CBS, its students and the business world. A symposium will be held in 2015 with the theme of „design thinking”.
