On Saturday 19th of March, the I´StIP event “Hiking the Drachenfels” took place.
Despite the cold weather, 35 students showed up in the Central Station of Colgone at 10:30am. They were all very motivated and ready for the trip.
After making sure all students got in the proper train, we departed to Königswinter. After arriving, we all began our hiking up the mountain Drachenfels. The students felt very energetic, this is why we went both ways by foot and did not even take the train up the mountain. Once we got to the top, the students enjoyed the amazing view of the Castle and the Rhein. They took plenty pictures and recovered their breath before heading back down.
After so much physical activity, all students were hungry and ended the trip back in Cologne at the “Früh” Brauhaus, where we had a table booked for the large group. We enjoyed a huge and well-deserved German lunch altogether before heading home.
