All Categories, Faculty, Inside CBS   -  8. January 2019

Contact exchange, karaoke, k-pop – the “Asia Night” of the International Office combined information about studying abroad with Asian celebration culture. The Asian guest students and CBS staff reported on the range of courses on offer and campus life at the CBS partner universities in the Far East. Cologne Business School cooperates with 24 universities on the Asian continent within the semester abroad, which offer CBS students a wide range of English-language courses as well as good preparation for a career in international organisations.

CBS Partner Universities: Studying in Seoul and Bangkok

Ji-Man Ko, an employee of the CBS, presented the private university Chung-Ang University in the heart of Seoul to the thirty guests: “The CAU is one of the ten best universities in the country. Its business faculty is famous and very popular with foreign students. If you want to study at the CAU, you don’t have to be afraid of language barriers: You’ll get along well with English everywhere. At the university, every exchange student is accompanied by a Korean buddy, who helps you with administrative procedures and shows you the student hotspots of the city.” Over 30,000 students from all over the world are enrolled at Chung-Ang University, giving the campus an international flair.

The guest student and DAAD scholarship holder Nachaya Sriteeraviroj presented her home university Kasetsart University in Bangkok. With around 58,000 students, the University educates almost twice as many academics as Chung-Ang University. “Kasetsart” means “agriculture” in English, which can be traced back to the origins of the university as a university of agricultural sciences. Today, however, you can take all fields of study programms at Kasetsart University. In the field of economics, entire courses are offered in English – ideal for foreign students. If you don’t want to explore Thailand on your own, the university offers organized excursions.”
