If you want to spend an exciting month in Cologne during the winter, come and join us from 10 February to 28 February 2025 and earn credits towards your degree.
CBS provides a winter programme that is full of opportunities for you: During your stay at CBS you can enhance your skills in theory and practice. Acknowledging that working successfully in an international environment requires excellent intercultural soft skills, you will work together with Bachelor and Master students from all over the world. Furthermore, you will get the chance to discover Europe and benefit from a range of extracurricular activities!
We welcome students from all institutions, at all ages and from across the world to join us.
Join us for a 3-week programme in Cologne from 10 February to 28 February 2025 and gain 6 ECTS!
The winter programme is designed for highly motivated and advanced Bachelor and Master students who are at least in their second year of studies with a profound Business, Management or Engineering background.
All participants must prove an upper intermediate level (B2) of English.
Credits information:
Upon successful completion of our winter programme, you will receive a certificate with 6 credits.
Fee information:
Tuition excludes travel expenses and accommodation but includes extracurricular social activities:
6 ECTS = 900€

In a digitally transformed global economy where payments are the lifeblood of commerce, financial technology is the beating heart of any business! What is the story of key international companies that shape the FinTech landscape and what is their impact?
Define the FinTech sector;
analyze and describe the global FinTech landscape (emerging players, solutions, regulatory frameworks);
explain Blockchain technology, AI, IOT, Metaverse and uses in business finance;
discuss the legal and compliance issues, including ethical implications, sustainability and social impact as a result of technology in finance;
plan, organize and execute assignment tasks in a multinational team (of min. 4, max. 5 students)
approach and demonstrating an understanding of academic conventions;
present and discuss key learnings in front of lecturer and peers.
investigate FinTech trends that impact (the benefits of) financial inclusiveness;
analyze and describe the story of a FinTech company
analyze and describe the changing role of the finance function in organizations as a result of technology transformation;
explain the changing role of the CFO in this process;
identify career opportunities in FinTech;
