A double degree bachelor offers qualified students the opportunity to obtain two bachelor's degrees at both CBS and Fontys School of Management at the same time.

Double Degree Bachelor - Fontys University of Applied Sciences

Combine your English-language International Business studies at CBS with a year of study abroad at Fontys University of Applied Sciences. Our Double Degree program with a focus on Management Consulting enables you to complete 2 Bachelor's degrees at the same time.

How is your degree program structured?

Semesters 1-4: Bachelor International Business at CBS - choose the Management Consulting specialization in the 3rd semester
Semester 5: Semester abroad at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Eindhoven, International Business Consultancy Program
Semester 6: 3-month internship in a Dutch company and Bachelor's thesis in cooperation with CBS

How can you apply for the Bachelor Double Degree Program with Fontys University of Applied Sciences?

You do not have to decide whether the Double Degree Program is interesting for you before you start your studies. You apply for it in the 3rd semester of your International Business Bachelor's program. Please note that this exclusive program is only offered to students majoring in International Business with Management Consulting. Participation is limited to 5 places per year. Selection is made by a selection committee on the basis of academic performance and motivation. The regular additional costs for the double degree program year are approximately € 2,500 (as of 2023). The first 3 places receive an Erasmus+ scholarship, which includes a tuition fee waiver at Fontys University and covers part of your additional costs with a monthly stipend.

Fontys University of Applied Sciences:

Fontys is a large university network in the Netherlands and offers a very wide range of study programs. Business administration is a specialty: the Fontys School of Management Economics and Law, where you will study, enjoys a very good reputation. The course is organized in a very practice-oriented way with many application-related projects. The department at Fontys and also the CBS will support you in finding companies for an internship for the 6th semester.

Study in Eindhoven

The city of Eindhoven, with a population of 255,000, is around 150 km from Cologne and is located in the Dutch province of North Brabant. The region is known as "Brainport Eindhoven" - a reference to the excellent university landscape and the many innovative local companies. Eindhoven is a true student city, with Fontys and other universities with students from all over the world. All this promises an inspiring year abroad!

You can only apply for the Double Degree Bachelor if you are studying International Business with a focus on Management Consulting. You must decide on this by the 3rd semester at the latest. Before you make a decision, you should take advantage of our advisory services.
