The "Alumni Homecoming" took place this year again "at home" on campus - after a location with a view of the Rhine had been the last venue. As always, graduates from all age groups, professors and administrative staff of the CBS came together to meet again, exchange ideas and celebrate in an informal atmosphere.
The "Alumni Homecoming" as an annual event has a long tradition at the CBS. The regular reunion was initiated by the Alumni e. V. of the CBS. The aim is to emphasize and promote the togetherness between CBS alumni of all age groups. Even if the networking is in the foreground, the celebration will not be forgotten. Old and new acquaintances meet at the Homecoming and review their time at the CBS.
As usual, CBS Managing Director Christoph Willers opened the celebration with his welcome speech and opened the buffet at the end of his speech. In addition to the outstanding barbecue food from the hand of caterer Markus Schlösser, there was also a "Candy Bar" with sweets. The cocktail bar and the "Pimp your Prosecco" bar with fresh fruit offered delicious drinks. The common meal was accompanied by live guitar music.
The highlight of the evening was Torsten Eichler's Cologne concert, which began around 9.30 pm, and songs like "Leev Marie" ("Dear Marie") or "Viva Colonia" were laughed at and swayed. At the latest when the cult hit "Superjeile Zick" ("Awesome time") was played, all participants sang along loudly. The concert was followed by a tombola for a good cause. The proceeds of about 450 € go directly to the association "BildungsSache Köln". The main prize of the tombola was two overnight stays at the Hilton.
After the tombola DJ Stefan Krill played until late at night. The atmosphere at this "Alumni Homecoming" was exuberant throughout the evening. This year, the supporting programme, food and the reunion inspired all of the approx. 100 guests. One CBS alumnus even found: "If homecoming is always so ingenious, I come every year!" Our thanks for the great party go to all participants and contributors and especially to the organizers Juliane Harnoth and Dennis Harnack from CBS Career Service.
