The Center for Advanced Sustainable Management (CASM) fosters research and teaching at Cologne Business School in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Management; bringing together scholars from various academic discipline as well as business and political leaders in order to enhance knowledge transfer. Established in August 2016 under the lead of Prof. Dr. René Schmidpeter and Patrick Bungard the CASM founded international academic partnerships with the Sino-German Center for Sustainable Development of the Nanjing University, the Center for Responsible Citizenship and Sustainability of the Murdoch University, the Center for Green Economy of the Peking University, the Catholic University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt and IEDC-Bled School of Management. Additionally, CASM joined various networks including CEEMAN, PRME, DNK, EDUI, WEISS and the GCGI; all of which would not have been possible without the great support of the Dr. Jürgen Meyer Foundation. We send out a monthly newsletter to keep you informed about our latest news, travel activities and publications and you are welcome to subscribe under the following link (http://bit.ly/CASMnewsletter). In cooperation with business and academics the Center for Advanced Sustainable Management aims to champion responsible and sustainable management as a fundamental part of business organizations in theory and practice. Thereby actively shaping these transformation processes through the education of future managers. The main focus of CASM is to make Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainable management an integral part of business-related research and management training. The research area “Sustainable Management” links basic and applied research with current knowledge of CSR and sustainability with the relevant business management disciplines (e.g. marketing, value chain management, logistics, purchasing). Thus, through the CASM research, new ideas and concepts are added to existing business administration management approaches which set a new standard in management research and training through the sustainable management paradigm and CSR. In addition to the numerous scientific research projects, the intended economic responsibility is supported by a strong academic network and one of the most successful German management book series.
