Australia, Ireland, USA or Indonesia – Representatives of partner universities from these countries and others visited the Cologne Business School 13-14 October 2017 as part of the first International Days. On the first day, students were offered a comprehensive programmeof infosessions. And since actual representatives of the universities were on site, the students were privy to all relevant information concerning their semester abroad first-hand. What is the study programmelike, what to expect on campus and other considerations – all important questions for the students were cleared up during the presentations. In addition, study abroad students from India, Mexico, the United Kingdom and Japan, just to name a few, were available to their fellow CBS students for informational questions.
The second of the two International Days with its “Study Abroad Special” served as an informational day for prospective students. In addition to various presentations on the courses offered by CBS and the service facilities, the representatives from partner universities answered all questions regarding the semester abroad while also showcasing their universities. Cologne Business School’s comprehensive network with more than 100 partner universities worldwide is of great value for prospective students. This gives them the opportunity to spend a semester abroad, improve their language skills and gain valuable experience. This experience promotes self-reliance and intercultural competencies, which gives students a career advantage after graduating. A semester abroad is, therefore, firmly integrated into the course of study in the English-language bachelor programs at CBS. But also in the German-language bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, spending a semester at one of our partner universities is an option that is enjoying increasing popularity.
