Visit at the Chocolate Museum

All Categories, Inside CBS   -  3. May 2017

Every semester the International Office organizes a guided visit in the Chocolate Museum for International and German students. A group of 24 students visited the museum on April 29th.

With lots of excitement, we began our guided visit at 2:45pm. We learnt about the different processes of chocolate production from Cacao to Praline – not only in modern time, but also how ancient societies produced chocolate and why. During the visit, we had the opportunity to taste dry cacao beans and we saw the machines that are used nowadays for the chocolate production as well as the tools used in old times. We also learnt about the ingredients to produce chocolate and about the additional ingredients used in famous brands like Lindt.

We all received a small sample of a chocolate bar and were allowed to taste the liquid version from the chocolate fountain.  After our visit, a few of us went to the museum shop to see many different kinds of chocolates.
