CBS Sustainability Day – Get involved!

The first CBS Sustainability Day offers you the opportunity to listen, talk and to shape the future. We want to encourage you to think about how we can all contribute to a sustainable development. Be a part of it!

The Sustainability Day is divided into four events:

• Alumni meet Campus – Sustainability

11:45 – 13:30 Sustainability at CBS, Cafeteria, German and English

We inform you about current project and initiatives in the field of sustainability in the areas of teaching, research and operations at CBS. Your ideas and suggestions for the development towards a sustainable university are appreciated. In addition, the Graduate School of Sustainable Management informs you about PhD opportunities. Win up to 1,000 € with your academic paper or social project by applying to the Ethics and Sustainability Award. Get involved!

14:00 – 16:30 Workshop with Interseroh: Recycling 2050, Business Lounge, English

Imagine our world in the year 2050: How will resource scarcity affect our daily lives? How digitalized has our world become? Are we going to live in a fully digitalized world?

First, this workshop will introduce you to different creative techniques like Brainwriting and Guerilla Technique. Then it is your time to be visionary – you are going to create a product or service that is concerned with raw material supply in 2050.

Interseroh is one of the leading providers of sustainable system services for the closure of product, material and logistics cycles. They advise customers throughout Europe on the responsible handling of recoverable materials and thus help them to improve their sustainability performance.

Sustainable Management and Corporate Social Responsibility determine the current debate on the role of business in society. Learn how to actually generate these new management perspectives, customer benefits, social value and commercial success. In the exclusive CBS Executive Master Class “Sustainable Management”, two business leaders will discuss these issues.

Sustainability: Promotion or Relegation?

Anne-Kathrin Laufmann is director of the CSR-Management at SV Werder Bremen. She plays a prominent part in establishing the CSR department which is now pioneering the national league.

Sustainability: Guidline or Greenwashing?

Elmar Thomassek founded various companies and consulted projects in the area of IT, renewable energy communication and mobility. Currently he works at the business development at ALTOP Publisher.
