If there are 40 students waiting for a bus in front of campus on a Friday at 7 a.m., there must be a good reason: In this case, a joint trip to Berlin – one of the great places of longing for young people worldwide. The German capital was the destination of the international students at CBS who discovered Berlin for three days and two nights.
Most of the 40 international students from around 15 nations and all continents are only for one semester in Cologne. The trip to Berlin was therefore a very good opportunity for everyone to experience the history and culture of Germany in condensed form – including all Berlin highlights: On the programmestood among other things Sightseeing inclusive Reichstag (the seat of the German federal parliament) and Mauerpark (a public linear park in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg), the obligatory Currywurst, Berlin-typical overnight accomodation in a Hostel and a small Pub Crawl, in order to learn the night life. Despite the intensive programmethe students had enough free time for exploring the city on their own.
The International Office of the CBS organized the excursion to Berlin. Trips like these are part of the support program, which should make your stay at the CBS an enriching time. Every semester, city tours to exciting German cities, visits to companies and leisure programs are offered. In addition to broadening their personal horizons, the events are also intended to network students with one another and strengthen intercultural skills – and perhaps even create friendships for life.
