hgnc idea competition: Business ideas wanted!

As a pathfinder for scientific start-ups, the hochschulgründernetz cologne (hgnc) is once again organising an ideas competition open to students, employees and graduates (up to five years) from the member universities of hgnc e. V. Future entrepreneurs have the opportunity to enter their three-page idea sketches until 17 October 2018 at midnight by submitting the entry form to [email protected].

The competition’s aim is to identify promising start-ups for knowledge-based services, technological products and social innovations and to accompany them in their first steps into self-employment. An important prerequisite for the participants is that the expertise required for the start-up project has been acquired during their studies. All business ideas will be treated confidentially by the jury.

The prizes in the ideas competition

Thanks to the sponsor NRW.Bank, hgnc will award the three best idea sketches with prizes of € 1,000 for the 1st prize, € 500 for the 2nd place, € 250 for the 3rd place and non-cash prizes for the 4th and 5th place. The winners will be honoured on October 30th, 2018 at the kick-off event “NUK-Gründer-Akademie Köln”, sponsored by the bank Kreisparkasse Köln. Special prizes will also be awarded for “Technology and Knowledge-Based Services” and “Social Innovation and Sustainability”.

Additional consulting opportunity: hgnc workshop on October 17th, 2018

Before the submission deadline for the idea sketches, prospective competitors have the opportunity to participate at the hgnc workshop “Recognizing and Evaluating Good Business”. Ideas”.
