This year’s CBS graduates had every reason to be happy today: the over 200 graduates celebrated the successful completion of their bachelor’s degrees in Cologne’s Maritim Hotel with their friends and family.
After a festive champagne reception, CBS President Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Fröhlich and Managing Director Prof. Dr. Christoph Willers opened the event and congratulated the students on their success. The deans of the different courses of studies joined in these congratulations and wished all the graduates only the best for their future.
„When I look at you, the graduates of CBS, I am extremely optimistic. In addition to teaching theory and specialist content, one thing is particularly important to us at the CBS: that we through our values, have given our students the necessary ” armament ” to meet all the challenges of the future”, said Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Fröhlich.
The graduates themselves also looked back on their time at CBS: Nadja Gottschalk, Anne Hakvoort, Roberta Reschofsky and Jonas Wintering relived special moments of their studies and said goodbye to their fellow students, lecturers and CBS staff in a moving speech.
„We have grown together to form the CBS Cologne Family, which for many was the name of their first WhatsApp group in Cologne. What at the beginning sounded like an interchangeable, bold advertising slogan (CBS Family) quickly turned out to be a living culture. In both the English and German degree programmes, we made contacts quickly and, over time, found international friends for life”, said Roberta Reschofsky.
After music from DEEJAY PLUS and a performance by the magician André Desery, as well as refreshment from the buffet, the long-awaited highlight of the evening took place – the ceremonial awarding of certificates. Thereafter, the graduates threw up their caps in the proper style. At the after party the over 1.000 guests celebrated their successful graduation with champagne, Kölsch and a lot of good humour until deep into the night.
