The 2018 Master and MBA graduating students were solemnly awarded a degree on the 18th of August, 2018. About 160 graduates celebrated their new degrees with their families and CBS employees during the official ceremony at the ambience of Halle Tor 2 in Cologne.

The Master and MBA graduation was opened by CBS President Prof Dr Elisabeth Fröhlich who congratulated the graduates on their successful graduation and wished them all the best for the future. In her speech she dicussed Carol Ryff’s psychological well-being model and advised graduates to uphold their own happiness by keeping the six fortunate factors of self-acceptance, personal growth, meaning of life, active environmental design, autonomy, and positive social relationships in mind.

Moreover, many members of the deanship took the opportunity to say goodbye with a personal address. Prof Dr Julia Maintz, Dean of Digital Media Management, and Prof Michael Schwertel, Head of the Department Media Management / Cross Media, presented a video clip with impressions from the past few years.

After the live performance of Laura Schulze, an employee in CBS marketing, Isabel Arens and Linda Lewe, graduates of the Master programme International Business, looked back on their study years. According to Carnival custom, they drank to their successful graduation with a triple “Alaaf!”
