On Saturday 14th of November the international students had the opportunity to visit the beautiful Chocolate Museum. A group of 25 students enjoyed the lovely tour in the museum. They had the chance to learn about the process and the history of chocolate. Understand where the cacao comes from and how it is worked in order to create that delicious product we all love.
Students were first allowed to try cacao beans to taste the natural flavor and they discovered that it is actually not sweet. The entire process was shown to the students. They could see how the liquid chocolate is placed in the forms, changing the temperatures so it obtains a solid form, and how they are packaged. However, the chocolate fountain was the highlight of the tour, as the students could finally try some chocolate.
After learning about the process and the production of chocolate, the students explored the store in the museum and bought lots of chocolates.
Before going home, we gathered at the Museum´s café to enjoy a hot chocolate all together.
