What is a Double Degree Master?

A Double Degree Masters offers qualified students the opportunity to obtain two Master's degrees at both CBS and the University of Lucerne at the same time. Obtain two master's degrees at the same time.

Are you ready for new challenges? Make the most out of your double degree!

How about enhancing your MA in International Business at CBS in Germany with an additional Master of Science from Switzerland? During your studies at CBS you have concentrated on analysing markets and competitors and developed marketing strategies. At the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Lucerne (HSLU) you will set a new focus on Online Marketing and E-Commerce and find out how you can utilize those best as a future Marketing Manager.

Spend your 4th and an additional 5th semester as a student in Switzerland, in order to dive into the world of Online Business Strategies and Online Platforms and interfaces for a full year. During your 2^nd year of studies, you will be prepared for two Master theses, which are connected through similar topics and will be written before starting your final semester at Lucerne.

Double masters: 2 study programs, 2 master's degrees!

Once you have successfully passed both theses, you will receive a MA Master of Arts in International Business, Marketing Management (CBS), and an MSc Master of Science in Business Administration, Major Online Business, and Marketing (HSLU).

A second Master degree from Switzerland will not only give your CV an impressive twist. While studying at the University of Applied Sciences Lucerne, you will gain a lot of applied knowledge and make important international contacts. These will set an ideal basis for a career as a Marketing Manager in today´s dynamic digital world.

How to apply for a Double Degree Masters at CBS?

Please note that you can only apply for this Double Degree Programme, if you have started with your CBS studies in the Fall semester. This is due to the study program at HSLU, who only offer their courses once per year.

During your 2^nd semester of CBS Master studies, you will be able to apply for this exclusive programme, provided that you have opted for International Business with Marketing Management. A jury will select the candidates for the programme according to the academic performance and motivation. Regular additional costs for the one-year Double Degree Programme will be tuition fees of 1500€ + additional fees for admissions, exams, books as well as different student services fees. The best candidate will receive a tuition waiver at HSLU Lucerne.

Lucerne – Study at the largest university in the heart of Switzerland

The University of Applied Sciences and Arts Lucerne is the largest educational institution in Switzerland with around 7000 students. The HSLU offers a broad range of disciplines from technical sciences, business, social sciences and arts. Interdisciplinary and practice oriented studies are an important target at HSLU and thus make them an ideal partner institution for CBS.

Practice orientation, especially in the Business studies areas, is combined with recent scientific research, which you will also be able to engage with through your Master theses.

Study in Lucerne

Lucerne is located in Central Switzerland, which is at the same time an important region for sciences. Major international enterprises from industrial, aircraft construction, raw material extraction, and of course tourism sectors have their base in this region.

Its location in between mountains and Lake Lucerne guarantees for high quality of living, with an endless variety of leisure opportunities and numerous cultural events. Rents are lower than in the larger cities. At the same time you can easily reach cities like Zurich, Basel and Berne.

The HSLU campus is centrally located right next to the central station, and only a short walk away from the medieval historic old-town, the lake as well as the world-famous Chapel Bridge. Students from across the world add an international flair to the campus.
