Admission Process

Bachelor Programmes for International Students

Our study programmes start every summer term (febraury) and fall term (august/september). We recommend applying early because the number of students per course is limited. This particularly applies if you should need a visa in order to study in Germany. For this reason we accept your application at any time throughout the year – even before you have graduated high school or completed your school leaving certificate! For all international applicants, the following explains all prerequisites you must meet and how the application process works.

  • Icon Requirements

    1. Requirements

The admission requirement for studying at Cologne Business School is a secondary school completion and university qualification or full entrance qualification to an applied sciences university. Equivalent qualifications from schools abroad are recognised accordingly. Examples: A-Levels, General Certificate of Education or IB Diploma. In case you do not already possess a school leaving certificate you can submit the previous report. If you wish to obtain in advance an initial assessment of whether your degree is recognized by us, please visit the following website: (this database is only available in German), or send your documents directly to us via our online form. You don’t have direct university entrance qualification? We’ll be happy to consider your application for Prep4University, our foundation year for Bachelor studies at CBS! For detailed information, head over to the Prep4University page. After successful completion you are admitted to enter a Bachelor programme at the CBS.
